Refund Policy

The short version

• Every paid charge can be refunded in full within 30 days.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time and keep Pro until the period you already paid for ends.
• Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, including any tax that was charged.
• To request one, email voctaps@gmail.com from the address you used at checkout.

Who you are buying from

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com Market Ltd is the Merchant of Record for all VocTap orders and handles payment, billing questions, tax, and refunds.

Because of this, charges appear on your statement as Paddle or PADDLE.NET* rather than VocTap, and Paddle's Buyer Terms and Conditions apply to your purchase alongside this policy and our Terms of Use.

You can raise a billing or refund request with us directly, or with Paddle at paddle.net. Either route reaches the same place.

Try VocTap before you pay

The free plan is not a trial that expires. Word lookups, definitions, pronunciation, and flashcard review stay free, so you can decide whether VocTap fits how you watch and learn before any money changes hands.

We would rather you stay on the free plan than pay for something you do not use.

30-day money-back guarantee

If you are not happy with VocTap Pro, ask for a refund within 30 days of the charge and we will return the full amount. We do not ask for a reason, and we do not require you to have used the product a certain amount.

This applies to your first purchase and to any renewal charge. If a renewal caught you by surprise, tell us within 30 days of that charge and we will refund it.

After the 30 days

Once a charge is more than 30 days old, we do not usually refund it, because the subscription period it paid for has largely been used.

You can still cancel at any time to stop the next renewal. If something went wrong on our side — a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, a feature that was broken for you — write to us regardless of the date and we will make it right.

When we may decline a refund

We may decline a request where:

• The charge is older than 30 days and none of the situations above apply.
• The account has already been refunded repeatedly, in a pattern that suggests the guarantee is being used to obtain the product for free.
• The account was suspended or terminated for breaching our Terms of Use.
• The purchase was not made through Paddle — for example, a subscription bought through a third-party store, which that store refunds under its own rules.

Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or another region with equivalent rules, you have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days. Where you ask for immediate access to VocTap Pro, you may be asked to acknowledge that the withdrawal right ends once delivery begins.

Nothing in this policy limits those rights. Our 30-day guarantee is offered in addition to them, and where the two differ, whichever is more favourable to you applies.

How to request a refund

Email voctaps@gmail.com from the address you used at checkout, or use the support page at https://www.voctap.com/support. You can also contact Paddle directly at paddle.net.

Including these details helps us find the charge on the first try:

• The email address used at checkout
• The Paddle order or receipt number, if you have it
• The date and amount of the charge
• Whether you want the subscription cancelled as well as refunded

How refunds are issued

We aim to answer refund requests within 2 business days. Once approved, Paddle issues the refund to the original payment method — we cannot send it to a different card, account, or as store credit.

The money typically appears within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Any VAT or sales tax collected on the order is refunded with it.

If your card was charged in a currency other than USD, your bank's exchange rate on the refund date may differ slightly from the rate on the purchase date. That difference is set by your bank and is outside our control.

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel from your VocTap account settings or through the link in any Paddle receipt. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not, on its own, refund the charge you already paid.

After cancelling, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Your saved words and review history remain in your library on the free plan.

Renewals and price changes

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Paddle emails a receipt for every charge, and annual plans get a renewal reminder before the card is charged.

If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before it takes effect, and the new price only applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then if you would rather not continue.

Chargebacks

If a charge looks wrong to you, please email us before asking your bank to reverse it. A refund is faster than a chargeback, and it does not put your account at risk.

Disputed charges are handled by Paddle as merchant of record, and an account with an open chargeback may be suspended until the dispute is resolved.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy as the product and our billing setup change. The Last updated date above changes when we do.

The version published on the day of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase.
